Trooping The Colour 25th April 1987 Newark

Were you there?
Rededication of 3WFR and HSF tree.
3WFR Association has been dealing in trees in 2004/05. We started
with the planting a tree, at the National Memorial Arboretum, dedicated to Home
Service Force Soldiers in 2004, and also in 2004 The Regiment dedicated its
own tree. On Sunday 25 April 2005 the 3WFR Association
dedicated its own tree to all those who served the Battalion during its lifetime and on Saturday 8th October this year the HSF returned to add a plaque rededicating their tree to the soldiers of both F (Notts HSF) and G (Derbys HSF) Companies.
Not to be outdone the Regimental Association also dedicated trees to The Worcester Regiment and The Sherwood Foresters Regiment on the anniversary of The Glorious First of June, on the Wednesday of that date 2005. So now the Regiment has five trees, all close up in all round defence! Set you compass at about 35 degrees while standing in the NMA Restaurant and walk forward about 500 paces. Mind the slope, though!

3WFR also has a history so we include a picture of the Escort to the Colour, in Newark in 1987.
